Accident involving a SAAB SF340A aircraft at Gdansk Airport, Poland

The Polish safety investigation authority, SCAAI, is investigating an accident that occurred at Gdansk Airport, EPGD. The pilot of a small sport aircraft left the cockpit after starting the engine. The aircraft came into motion and collided into a parked SAAB SF340A aircraft. No personal injuries occurred but both aircraft sustained substantial damage. The Swedish accident investigation authority, SHK, has appointed an accredited representative to assist in the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing. However, after reviewing the file, it is assessed that there is no longer a need for an accredited representative. The matter has therefore been closed at SHK.
