Serious incident in United Kingdom with an aircraft registered in Sweden

An aircraft of the type Bae ATP, registered in Sweden (SE-MAO) and operated by West Atlantic, experienced a runway excursion during landing at Birmingham Airport, United Kingdom. Initial reports state that the left wheels went on the grass outside the runway for a significant distance. The occurrence is investigated by AAIB (UK). SHK (Sweden) has appointed an accredited representative to the investigation.
