Serious incident with a Swedish seaplane in Italy

A Swedish registered (SE-MLE) seaplane of the model Cessna 206G experienced an engine failure while conducting a private flight in the vicinity of Crotto dei Platani, Italy. The commander landed the airplane on lake Como without any further remarks and none of the four persons onboard where injured. The serious incident is being investigated by the Italian civil aviation safety investigation authority, ANSV. SHK has appointed an accredited representative to assist the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing. However, after reviewing the file, it is assessed that there is no longer a need for an accredited representative. The matter has therefore been closed at SHK.
