Accident with a small private aircraft in Landegem, Belgium.

The Belgian safety investigation authority is investigating an accident that occurred in Landegem, Belgium, with an ultralight aircraft of the type Arsi VM-1C Esqual. The aircraft was built in Sweden. En route the pilot felt vibrations in the aircraft and the engine came to a complete stop. Soon after that the pilot realized that the propeller had lost one of it's blades. An emergency landing was carried out in a wheat field. Neither the pilot nor the passenger was injured. The Swedish accident investigation authority, SHK, has appointed an accredited representative to assist in the investigation.
