Accident involving a motor glider of the type SCHEIBE SF 25C Motorfalke at Motala-Skärstad airfield on 16 July 2026

During training, off-field landing exercises were carried out with a motor glider of the type SCHEIBE SF 25C Motorfalke, registration SE-UDU, near Motala-Skärstad airfield. The practice landings were discontinued in the final phase with a go-around. During the last practice landing, the motor glider continued to sink towards the ground during the go-around and one wing made contact with vegetation, causing the aircraft to yaw uncontrollably on the ground. No personal injuries occurred. The aircraft sustained substantial damage.
