A serious incident involving an aircraft of the type SAAB 340A near Cobar Airport, Australia

During cruise the crew received multiple warnings including cargo smoke, avionics smoke and cabin pressure. Subsequently thick smoke was detected in the cockpit. The crew conducted an emergency descent and diverted the aircraft to Cobar Airport. No person was injured. The aircraft sustained some fire damages.
