Accident with the aircraft SE-MKV of the model SOCATA TB9 at Stockholm/Skavsta airport, Södermanlands county

Shortly after take-off, the crew experienced a loss of power. They tried to turn to return to the runway for landing from the opposite direction. However, they did not manage to maintain altitude throughout the turn, and collided with the ground at the runway strip just outside the runway.

At impact the left wing was torn off and the engine and nose wheel where separated from the fuselage. There was also extensive damage to the horizontal stabilizer. The Instructor and the student did not sustain any serious injuries.
