Serious incident with an aircraft of the type SAAB 340B in Savonlinna, Finland

Investigated by: Finland.

An aircraft of the type SAAB 340B operated by RAF-AVIA started in Riga, Latvia, and landed at Savonlinna airport in Finland. At the landing, the aircraft veered to the left and drove off the runway. One of the propellers was damaged at the event. The crew consisted of two people but there were no passengers on board. No personal injury occurred.

The incident is investigated by the Finnish Safety Investigation Authority. SHK has appointed an accredited representative who assists the investigation.
