Incident to an aircraft of type SAAB 340B at Sydney airport, Australia

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau ATSB has commenced an investigation into a landing gear over speed involving a SAAB 340B (registration VH-ZRJ) at Sydney Airport, New South Wales.

During the initial climb, the landing gear was retracted late, resulting in the landing gear retraction speed being exceeded by about 20 knots.

As part of the investigation, the ATSB will interview the flight crew, review the flight data, and gather additional information.
