Very serious marine casualty in the Bornholm Strait

The incident is being investigated jointly by United Kingdom and Denmark.

The cargo ship SCOT CARRIER, registered in United Kingdom, and the cargo ship KARIN HØJ, registered in Denmark, collided with each other. The collision occurred between Bornholm and Sandhammaren in Skåne. There was one fatality on the Danish ship and one crew member is missing.

Sweden has assisted the investigation.
