Serious incident with an aircraft of the type Saab 340B in Australia

Investigated by Australia.

An aircraft of the type Saab 340B flew on a domestic route in Australia. During the flight to Sydney, one of the propellers separated from the aircraft. The aircraft, which had 16 passengers and three crew members on board, was able to land without further damage occurring.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau, ATSB, is investigating the occurrence as a serious incident. SHK has appointed an accredited representative to assist the investigation.
