Very serious marine incident with a pilot-boat at Brofjorden, Bohuslän

The pilot boat PILOT 740, SEFG, was on its way back to Brofjorden after boarding assignments. It was a rough sea coming from the stern, when the pilot boat suddenly plunged into a wave, turned about 90 degrees off course, and got a heavy list to starboard. As the pilot boats bow disappeared beneath the surface of the water, the speed of the boat slowed down to almost zero. When the pilot boat had straightened up slightly, the master increased the throttle and gave starboard rudder to get out of the situation.

No one on board was injured. However, the pilot boat suffered material damage and some water penetrated into the engine room.
