Inernational Other incidents

There are no binding international rules on investigations into road traffic or other serious accidents and incidents.

Nevertheless there is extensive ongoing work at EU level to enhance transport safety on roads and in tunnels through legislation and action plans with respect to e.g. working hours for drivers and the use of safety belts.

The ETSC (European Transport Safety Council) is an independent, non-profit organization acting as an advisor in the field of road traffic and all other modes of transportation safety to the European Commission, the European Parliament and to the member states of the European Union.
